Jess Dyer is a key member of the Alinta Energy legal team, focused on optimizing asset strategy, regulatory outcomes, and market success. For Jess, legal counsel is about creating value, not just managing risk.

She believes an in-house lawyer should serve as a trusted advisor and decision-maker, ensuring that legal considerations support and enhance business objectives. At Alinta, Jess has led negotiations for major construction projects, advised on complex offtake agreements, and presented on risk management and project structuring to the Board.

With experience spanning project development from idea to integration, Jess is known for her calm, solutions-oriented approach and demonstrates the value in-house legal teams bring. Her deep understanding of Alinta’s drivers and risk tolerance enables her to be a proactive strategic advisor and problem solver at every level.

Jonathan Harrison - Group General Counsel, Acciona

Jonathan has spent almost all of his working life as a construction lawyer, starting out at Minters and Deacons before moving in-house and finding a niche working for overseas contractors who are keen to expand their presence in Australia. He has fond memories of AS2124 (unamended).

Claire Winton Burn – Group Counsel, MMG Limited

Claire has held multiple in-house legal counsel roles throughout her career, including at Siemens and SGH Energy. She has spent time abroad in Papua New Guinea working as a consultant, and now works at MMG as Group Legal Counsel.
