
Nick Longley is a partner at HFW with more than 30 years’ experience as a construction and arbitration lawyer. He primarily advises head contractors, specialist subcontractors and construction design consultants on construction law and construction insurance claims. He focuses on arbitration and large scale litigation relating to major transport infrastructure and energy-related projects, particularly renewable energy. He is a fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an executive board member of ACICA.

Alisa Taylor is a Partner at MV Law, and has spent more than 20 years helping clients navigate construction and property-related problems. Alisa acts for developers, builders, trades, consultants and suppliers involved in disputes arising from the construction of residential, commercial and government buildings and infrastructure, primarily in Canberra and the surrounding regions. In addition to being a litigator, she is a lecturer in Building and Construction Law with the University of Canberra, an Executive Committee Member and Chair of the Professional Sector Council at the Master Builders Association (ACT), and sits on the Residential and Planning Committee with the ACT Property Council.

Mark Lincoln is an experienced business professional with a unique blend of engineering, legal and business qualifications having worked predominantly in capital intensive industries over the last 30+ years. Mark’s experience has been gained with tier 1 construction contractor entities, large scale defence contractor, PricewaterhouseCoopers and most latterly for the past 8 years as General Manager of SJA Construction Services Pty Ltd, a full service project management, commercial management, quantity surveying and planning and programming consultant to the construction industry. In addition to his role as General Manager, Mark is frequently engaged in an expert capacity on a wide range of project types and size, predominantly in relation to disputes in respect of matters of quantum and delivery management.

Caroline Beaumaris is an internationally renowned Executive Leader, Commercial and Project Director with more than 25 years’ end to end experience across an array of projects and industries worldwide.
Caroline has a strong skill base in commercial management, contracts and claims management as well as in the provision of setting strategic procurement advice and establishing contract start up, contract drafting and negotiation, financing, contract administration and management, risk management, claims preparation, defence and resolution (including adjudication, arbitration and expert witness support). Caroline is a thought leader and chairs the Society of Construction Law Australia (SoCLA) Thought Action and Events Subcommittees where she has been a Director on the Board since November 2022 and Chairperson since August 2024.
