Sydney: Quantifying loss caused by disruption

Topic: Quantifying loss caused by disruption: Why use the measured mile? It rarely reflects reality and is often inapplicable
5.30 pm for 5:45 pm start at Colin Biggers & Paisley Level 42, 2 Park Street, Sydney    Speakers: Justice Hammerschlag Steve Bolt, Aquenta Consulting Robert Gemmell, Aquenta Consulting   Topic: Quantifying loss caused by disruption: Why use the measured mile? It rarely reflects reality and is often inapplicable.    In most construction projects, disruption occurs in a way that often makes the use of the measured mile method inapplicable to quantify disruption.  An alternative is to use the baseline productivity method, based on intermittent periods of high output/production, which overcomes many of the limitations of the measured mile method.   Justice Hammerschlag will provide an introduction by way of legal overview, to the quantification of loss caused by disruption in construction disputes.  Steve Bolt and Robert Gemmell will present on when and why the measured mile method to quantify loss is often inapplicable, and, as an alternative, how to use the baseline productivity method.
