Members are invited to an event to be held in Perth on Thursday 10 March 2016 hosted by the Society of Construction Law Australia together with Level Twenty Seven Chambers and presented by members from Queensland Bar, John Baartz and Matthew Hickey on ‘Where’s my money? This topic will provide an illustration of issues and difficulties that arise in attempting to apply clauses regulating the call upon and recourse to security in construction contracts with a focus on recent authorities. The format for the presentation will include a mock application seeking an injunction to enjoin a party from calling upon security – with the presenters arguing either side; followed by a short presentation and discussion.
